Winter is a bleak, time of the year.
Although it brings, Holiday cheer.
The trees lose their leaves, and look quite dead.
Ice on your windshield, you’ve come to dread.
Shoveling snow and ice, is quite a lot of work.
Need to get the car out, you just can’t shirk.
Snowmen are fun to build, and can be made quite quick.
Put on eyes, nose and a hat, but leave off the ****.
Snowball fights, can occur any place.
It only hurts, when you get hit in the face.
Coats, mufflers and boots, you’re all bundled up.
When it’s cold, have soup in a cup.
Fireplaces are warm, get one you should.
It only sucks, when you’ve got no wood.
Snuggling on the rug, is real cozy.
Drinking some wine, and making your cheeks rosy.
Chestnuts cooked all warm, aren’t you glad.
Had some in Paris, they were quite bad.
Cider is warm, and tasty to the mouth.
Some argue, it’s better from the South.
Four wheel drive, you need all the way.
Stuck, you’ll sit in your car all day.
Get a remote starter, to get your car warm.
It’s still locked, so no one can cause you harm.
Sledding down a hill, continuing to gain speed.
In a few seconds, a Hospital you will need.
Winter can be cold, Mother Nature can be cruel.
In the North, you better have enough fuel.
Icicles on the roof, cocoa on the stove.
Put on your snow shoes, and begin to rove.
Snow is beautiful, and can be mellow.
Remember, don’t eat it if it’s yellow.
You have to put up with Winter, the whole damn thing.
It’s the only way, we get to Spring.
