It’s too hard to count all of the nice bikes you see at Sturgis. There’s thousands of them. In this Blog Gallery I’ll show you but a few that I came across as I walked the main street in Sturgis during the rally.
I really like this Zebra themed bike. It’s very unique. I’ve never seen another like it.
This bike was built by Arlen Ness. He’s a famous bike designer and builder. He was riding this bike all around Sturgis during the rally.
I would never ride a low bike like this but it does look good with the paint job on it.
Here’s another with a bright paint job on it.
I’ve never ridden a bike with such long front forks. I don’t think I’d be very good at steering it.
I could probably handle this one.
I thought this was another good paint job.
Bikes like these don’t have shocks so you feel every bump in the road. It can be dangerous if you hit a big hole and get bounced off of the bike.
I think the front tire is unique and stands out with the paint job on it.
Here’s another low rider. I like how the rims on the tires match the paint job of the bike.
Here’s an old school bike. They call high handle bars “Ape Hangers”. These handle bars are baby ape hangers because they are not as big as they can come.
This is a sturdy looking bike. I don’t like how there’s no passenger seat for your favorite girl.
I liked this paint job. I usually don’t like the color green but with the red it makes it pop.
This bike is a beast!!! It has a V8 engine in it. That’s a car engine and it’s bigger than most cars on the road today.
I would never own a yellow bike but I think the color can make a bike stand out.
I like this bike and I also like how the paint job on the gas tank matches the side compartments in the back.
I bet this is an expensive bike.
Here’s another view of it.
I like this bike. It’s got old school colors and whitewall tires. Very cool.
Now I don’t know what to say about this bike. It’s definitely unique but I’d never ride one like it. Look at how low your ass is to the ground.
These next two bikes are from O.C.C. – Orange County Choppers.
This Fire Bike is very famous. They did an episode about the building of it for their TV show.
Here’s another of those huge bikes with the V8 for an engine. If it falls over, you better have 5 guys to help you get it up again.
This is another vivid yellow bike with striking lines to it. Very cool.
This bike is themed to the Tennessee Titans NFL Football team. I bet it’s expensive.
This bike looks good in yellow but the seat is too low to the ground for me.
I could ride a bike like this one… but not in yellow.
Here’s another Fire Bike. I think they’re cool and have a lot of respect around the rally.
This bike had one trippy paint job on it.
I like the front rim on this bike. The white paint job looks good too.
This is another very unique looking bike. I think I would have a hard time riding this one too.
I ended up seeing quite a few yellow bikes and they were all just about the same color too.
Now let’s look at some paint jobs. You’ll see a lot of skulls and evil paint themes.
Here’s the 101 Dalmatian Bike with Cruella DeVille on the gas tank.
I’m always amazed at the amount of detail that goes into some of these paint jobs.
I wonder how long it takes an artist to paint these tanks and fenders.
Notice with this one that there’s many different tones but all just about the same color.
I guess if you’re a bad ass biker you better have skulls on your bike somewhere.
Having a wide rear tire and a large fender gives the artist more room to work with when painting something on the bikes.
As I said, I’m always amazed at the detail that goes into these paint jobs.
Notice the skull in the flames. Very cool.
This last bike has the ‘Predator’ on it from the Arnold Schwarzenegger movie of the same name.
I hope you enjoyed looking at some very expensive bikes from the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
