The United States is the Super Power,
It seems we’re losing this, by the hour.
Our country was founded by great men,
Not so good now, as they were back then.
On second thought, we have a slave not,
And some can grow pot.
Our countries history, has many a war and battle,
Sometimes, just over cattle.
We’ve won most, don’t count Nam,
We don’t lose, or give a damn.
America is freedom, and apple pie,
Some countries don’t have it, we ask why?
Freedom comes, in many a taste and flavor,
Speech is one we savor.
Some speak their minds, and often it’s in excess,
Shows a peek in their head, what a mess.
We can do almost anything, legal.
Piss off PETA, put pink on your Beagle.
We have Democracy, one man one vote,
Hardly anybody does, what a sour note.
Our Politicians are bad, they cheat and lie,
Then wear a red, Presidential tie.
Congress has the House of Reps, and the Senate,
More old than, Tony Bennett.
They all vote, and make our choices,
Not always, hear our voices.
Given all the problems, it’s still number one,
This land was taken, and now protected with a gun.
We have Holidays, dates we commemorate,
4th of July, is one we celebrate.
No where else, would I want to live,
A million bucks, you couldn’t give.
I’d stay, I’d stay, I’d stay,
I love the American way.
You do too, you’re not leavin’
A U.S. flag, I’m weavin’.
I love you America, glad I was born here,
Would have moved to it, ’cause I love it so dear.
Thank you America, for Freedom of Speech,
Maybe many, through poems, I can reach.
Until next time, be safe and have a chill day.
