The first museum I visited while in Santa Fe, NM was this one. I had high hopes for this contemporary art since the contemporary art in Houston let me down.
To be truthful, I wasn’t impressed. There were many things that weren’t photo worthy. What follows are pictures of the best this museum had to offer.
This painting took some time and talent. I like colorful art.
I’m not a fan of this type of art when there is no rhyme or reason to it. When I see paintings like this, I always think that almost anybody could do something like it.
I’m a fan of drawing and this next exhibit looked pretty good.
I’m sure there’s a story, but I can’t get what it is about with large beetles and a shopping cart with a shovel in it.
I liked these next three paintings.
This next exhibit is a colored drawing.
I looked at the details in it and saw that the person in front of the TV is watching the Simpson’s.
My sister made me laugh when she read the info on this drawing because it’s called “Watching the Simpson’s”.
Notice Marge’s big blue hair, lol.
This is a painting of someone’s professor.
I liked this painting because I’m a fan of nice colors.
This last exhibit is of three photos. I think I liked this one the best, but I find it hard to call it art.
This guy shaves off half of his mustache and pulls his long hair to the side to give two distinctly different profiles. Interesting, but more like a stunt than art.
Lastly, if ever in Santa Fe, take a pass on this museum.
Until next time, be safe and have a chill day.
