Laissez les bon temps rouler
Louisiana, is a great state;
The Cajuns are nice, and will shoot you straight.
It’s a great place for hunters, and fishermen;
You’ll think, it’s the best place you’ve ever been.
A beautiful location, a great place to retire;
Never an earthquake, never a fire.
Neighbors are nice, and lend a hand;
Nothing is, too big a demand.
The girls are beautiful, and have a cute accent;
When you get there, you’ll know why you went.
New Orleans has the French Quarter, fun ’til no end;
Days later, you’re still on the mend.
The state bird is the Pelican, the state flower is the Magnolia;
You’ll like the place so much, I’ll say “See I told ya”.
Eat some crawfish, and cut a little dance;
Not too much, gotta loosen your pants.
Many songs are written, and many movies shot;
Stars don’t like it, ’cause it gets quite hot.
Louisiana is, the Sportsman’s Paradise;
Don’t go to the casino, with your own pair of dice.
Go on down, and stay awhile;
Jambalaya, Gumbo, Etouffee’, you’ll eat in style.
When it’s time to leave, they’ll say “See you Later”;
Don’t get your ass bit, by an alligator.
Bring home some souvenirs, and tell a friend;
Hopefully at the casino, too much money, you didn’t spend.
Until next time, be safe and have a chill day.
