Had no fun, with a gun, thought I’d use a rod;
I love Bass and Trout, not so much the Cod.
Buy a rod and reel, and tackle box with lures;
Being in nature, all your ailments it cures.
Bought a fishing vest, and long billed hat also;
Rented a boat, loaded the gear, I was ready to go!
Got to the spot, and dropped anchor;
No one near, not another wanker.
Cast my first cast, it landed quite near;
Had to go to the Hospital, with a hook in my ear.
When asked if I’m a sportsman, I’d have to lie;
If left alone in the woods, I would die.
Can’t shoot a deer or a duck, can’t catch a fish;
Good thing the grocery store, solves my every wish.
To all you hunters and fishermen, I say good luck;
I never could get, a Bass, Deer or Duck.
Readers’ Note: I never hooked my ear with a lure. I found that picture on the web. Boy, that looks like it hurts.
