Horses are great animals, that’s been proven;
When conquering nations, it was chosen.
Opened up the West, the main mode of travel;
Pulled the wagons, and herded the cattle.
John Wayne rode one, in every movie;
And don’t forget about, Black Beauty.
Come in all different colors, one’s called a paint;
A more noble animal, find you ain’t.
Another is called, a pinto;
And others are trained, for show.
Some are race horses, that run very fast;
Even the ones, that come in last.
Jockeys are small, much less weight;
Secretariat, was truly great.
There are ones, that work with the police;
To catch offenders, the odds increase.
Dude Ranches have horses, to ride all day;
When they’re hungry, they get hay.
Some riders, have been bucked;
Land the wrong way, and your f**ked.
Roy Rogers rode, a palomino named Trigger;
At the time, no horse was bigger.
There was the talking horse, Mr. Ed;
Many years ago, long since dead.
The Lone Ranger, had Silver for his steed;
Never left him, in his time of need.
I love horseback riding, I’ve done it twice so far;
Much more fun, than riding in a car.
Owning a horse, there’s lots to do;
Have to feed, while still morning dew.
I’d name my horse, something like Bubbles;
And hopefully, it would give me no troubles.
Ride a horse today, to remove some strife;
Trust me, it’ll be the time of your life.
