You can’t sleep, the night before;
All you hear, is your dad’s snore.
You’ve touched all the presents, picked them up and weighed;
Thoughts running, when your head you laid.
Wake up early on Christmas morning, to see what you received;
No one stole the gifts, you are relieved.
Wait ’til parents get their coffee and camera, I wanna know! I wanna know!;
Finally dad says, ready, set, go!
You grab the biggest one, the most you think you’ll like;
Too bad, it’s not a new bike.
Opening them all, it is a blur;
Watch out dog, you’ll lose some fur!
Paper everywhere, wrappings torn to shred;
Too bad, your sister’s still in bed.
Getting all you asked for, is the best emotion;
It shows, your parents true devotion.
Remember on this day, when you’re playing with your heist;
Don’t forget to thank, Our Lord Jesus Christ.
