Winter is a bleak, time of the year;
Although it brings, Holiday cheer.
The trees lose their leaves, and look quite dead;
Ice on your windshield, you’ve come to dread.
Shoveling snow and ice, is quite a lot of work;
Need to get the car out, you just can’t shirk.
Snowmen are fun to build, and can be made quite quick;
Put on eyes, nose and a hat, but leave off the ****.
Snowball fights, can occur any place;
It only hurts, when you get hit in the face.
Coats, mufflers and boots, you’re all bundled up;
When it’s cold, have soup in a cup.
Fireplaces are warm, get one you should;
It only sucks, when you’ve got to chop wood.
Snuggling on the rug, is real cozy;
Drinking some wine, and making your cheeks rosy.
Chestnuts cooked all warm, aren’t you glad;
Had some in Paris, they were quite bad.
Cider is warm, and tasty to the mouth;
Some argue, it’s better from the South.
Four wheel drive, you need all the way;
Stuck, you’ll sit in your car all day.
Get a remote starter, to get your car warm;
It’s still locked, so no one can cause you harm.
Sledding down a hill, continuing to gain speed;
In a few seconds, a Hospital you will need.
Winter can be cold, Mother Nature can be cruel;
Up in Alaska, you better have enough fuel.
Icicles on the roof, cocoa on the stove;
Put on your snow shoes, and begin to rove.
Snow is beautiful, and can be mellow;
Remember, don’t eat it if it’s yellow.
You have to put up with Winter, the whole damn thing;
It’s the only way, we get to Spring.
