The circus comes to Houston every summer. This summer it was held inside the Texans’ football stadium.
There’s sculptures of bulls in front of the stadium. They look very cool, so I took a picture in front of them.
If you’ve never been to the circus before, here’s a tip… get there early. Before the show starts, there’s lots of entertainers performing for the pleasure of the crowd. This girl was amazing.
I always try to get some photos with the clowns. I heard it was harder to get into the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Clown College than it was to get into Harvard. There must be a lot of people that want to train to be a clown by the best organization.
All of the clowns that I posed with were really tall people.
This guy was also an Emcee at certain points in the show.
Whenever I get the chance to get a photo with the performers, I definitely do it. These guys were part of the motorcycle stunt crew. Their act was amazing.
There were lots of beautiful women working in the circus.
I love seeing them all dressed up in their colorful costumes.
The circus comes only once a year and I really enjoy it.
When the circus begins, they open up with the National Anthem and a beautiful girl comes out riding a large elephant. I love this part of the circus and I try to get a photo of the girl on the elephant every year I attend.
There were too many acts and entertainers to include in this Blog Article, so I’ll just tell you that you need to make an effort to see the circus for yourself when it comes near you.
This group balancing on two bicycles was amazing and very beautiful to watch.
These ladies could really spin these little things they had on strings. It was cool to watch and they had on great costumes.
The Animal Trainer of Big Cats did an amazing job of getting the Lions and Tigers to do what he commanded.
I would be so scared being in a cage with that many predators, that I’d probably wet myself, lol.
He had a great act and it was exciting to watch.
The Master of Ceremonies was dressed up really nicely and came out periodically to sing songs while the other entertainers danced around.
The lady riding the “Winged Horse” was really attractive.
I have to say, in my opinion the best acts were the ones with the horses.
This lady rode around on top of these two guys shoulders.
Then she did an amazing split between them. Unreal.
This guy rode on other peoples’ shoulders too. I think I liked the acts with the horses the best.
There was a hire wire act with a motorcycle and two lovely girls. They spun around and did a 360 in the air.
The circus had a trapeze act, but it’s not a very photographic event so I don’t have any photos from it. The entertainers did miss their grips a few times and fell into the safety net below them.
The circus had all sorts of animal acts. These little dogs were funny.
They even had a trained Kangaroo doing some tricks.
The elephant act is always a highlight.
I read that by 2018, the circus will not use elephants anymore. That will be a sad day indeed for the circus and its’ history.
This elephant did a head stand and it wowed the crowd.
I took my sister to the circus this year and it was her first time going. She loved it and I bet she goes with me again next year.
The only problem I found with the circus is that their food and drinks are absurdly overpriced, but otherwise my sister and I had a great time.
I suggest you go see the circus if it comes near your town. I know you’ll enjoy yourself. I always do.
There’s more photos from the circus on my website, along with 30,000 more travel pictures.
