For my birthday, my sister and I went to the circus again this year. It is the first year without the elephants and it was definitely not the same.
For starters, there was no beautiful girl riding an elephant around the arena to the national anthem. In fact, they didn’t even play the national anthem at all this year.
I still got lots of photos with the clowns and cute circus girls before the show.
Before the show starts, you’re allowed to go see the animals.
Instead of elephants, they had camels. Not even close to as great as an elephant.
The tigers are always cool, but the big cat portion of the circus this year was not as good as last year.
There’s always tons of stuff to buy the kiddies.
Before the circus begins, the clowns entertain the kids.
You can put on circus costumes and pose for photos.
Everyone will autograph your program.
This little girl was cute.
They put temporary tattoos on all of the kids.
The greatest show on Earth.
Kids love clowns.
When the circus started, some seats were empty, but they filled up soon.
Last years Master of Ceremonies was black and he sang great songs. I wonder what he’s doing now.
Last year they had motorcycle stunts and this year it was bicycles. Not as thrilling.
The circus is always fun, but last year’s was much better. They had elephants, motorcycles, great horse stunt riders and the big cat part was better. They didn’t even have a trapeze act this year.
I’ll go again, but I’m betting I’ve seen the best of the best and that was last year.
