During my years in motorsports, I got to see a lot of things. Xtreme Bikini Contests were some of them. I’ll also add in some photo links to the clothing company. You should check out the merchandise. I think you’ll like it.

In this article, I’ll show you some pictures and tell my story.

One year, there was an assignment to work on a new racing series in drag racing. We were already working NASCAR and IndyCar and some of the other NHRA drag races, but someone had to go to the import car drag races at these smaller tracks around the country.

I went on the internet and looked up the events and read about them.
That’s me in the photo below. You’ll see me in several pictures if you look for me.

One of the main things I read was that at every race they would host an Xtreme Bikini Contest. That was all I needed to see for me to volunteer to head up this new marketing program on this series.

I started attending these races and handled my business. I got to know everybody that traveled from race to race. And I would go to the bikini contests and record them for my YouTube channel, my original intention.

At one race, the guy running the contests asked me to be a judge for the contest, so I said okay.

I helped judge the contest and it was no big deal. But later on, race after race, I did more and more at the bikini contests. I had to get one of my co-workers to videotape the contests for me because I was working it and couldn’t do it.

At one race, I learned that the guy running the contests had been let go and they wanted me to take over for him, so I did.

I had a lot of fun first judging then organizing and finally running these contests. I could now run a bikini contest in my sleep. And before you say it, it’s not that easy executing a contest with 30+ contestants and you have a time constraint. Try it some day and you’ll see for yourself, lol.

The first thing is that you need girls to have a bikini contest. I know, elementary my dear Watson. It’s not as easy as snapping your fingers and girls show up.

The bikini contests were advertised in every market we traveled to and also on the website for the racing series, so people were expecting a contest and also one that was Xtreme, according to the advertising and website.

You couldn’t just put up flyers around the town you were holding a drag race. What if no one showed up. Now you’ve got the TV crew there and nothing to film for the weekly television show… not good.

Denver.

What the guys who worked for the series would do was arrive in town a few days before the race weekend began and go to the area Hooter’s restaurants and ask the girls if they wanted to be in the contest. They promised the girls free admission to the race, prize money for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place finishers and told them what time to be where.

Most of the time this worked, but sometimes they had to take drastic measures. They would go to a strip club in the city we were in for the weekend and recruit from there.

The photos you’re looking at now are from contests in Denver, Oregon, Pomona, New Jersey, Fontana and Gainesville. Not all of the girls came from the strip club, but some of them did.

Sometimes we had 30+ girls show up, like in Denver and Oregon.

This was a case of ‘Our cup overflowith’, with girls.

New Jersey.

It was not easy to keep things running on time, but I did it.

Oregon.

So here’s how we ran the contests. First, get the girls – check. Then go around to all of the sponsors at the race and get free T-Shirts, hats and give aways.

Gainesville.

Next, you would need all of the girls to show up and put their names on a list in the order that they were appearing on stage. This was very important for the judging.

Then make sheets for each judge with the girls names as they were appearing on stage. And have pens for the judges to write with.

Denver.

You would then give each girl a T-Shirt or a hat and have her get ready by putting the shirt on over her bikini or just holding onto the hat until she went on stage.

Gainesville.

At some contests, I marked the stage with pieces of paper to tell the girls where to go and in what order, so they would know how to ‘work’ the stage for the best performance.

Gainesville.

Hopefully, you’ve managed to line up about 5 judges. This is never hard to do because there’s always guys that work on the series that want to do this.

Below, I am going over the contest with the judges.

The girls would then come on stage as their names were called by the MC. They would dance and tease the audience. Then take off the shirt and throw it to the crowd for someone to catch.

This girl was ripped up.

Denver.

As each girl comes off stage you give her the next T-Shirt, so she is ready to go on stage again soon.

The girls will come on stage and toss a shirt or hat about 2 times.

One time, we gave them bottles of water at the Oregon contest and the crowd loved it when the girls would pour it over themselves while on stage.

Now, the judges have all of the scores from the contest. I always told the judges not to give anybody a 10 on the first round. Wait and see ALL of the contestants, then on the second round they could give out high scores because they had seen all of the girls. This usually worked and the best girl always won.

The judges need about 10 or 15 minutes to tally all of their numbers and come up with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.
Oregon.

This can be bad because the audience gets restless if there is nothing going on and no girls on stage.

New Jersey.

Oregon.

I came up with the idea to have the girls come back on stage and dance to the music while the judges score the contest.

At the Denver contest, I told them to go out 2 at a time, and dance for a while then switch to someone else.

We also had the girls grab handfuls of the freebies and toss things into the crowd. This kept the audience happy seeing the girls and getting free stuff thrown out to them.

When you know the judges have the results, you have the girls leave the stage. Although in Oregon we just called out the winners with all of the girls on stage.

Gainesville.

Fontana.

Now you call up 3rd place, 2nd place and then the winner, 1st place. You have them get situated for all of the photographers to take their picture for the many publications that are covering the event.

And that’s basically how easy it can be done, but if you don’t know these things you will fail miserably.

When my friends would be jealous of my Bikini Contest work, I would tell them “Hate the Game, Not the Player”, lol.
That only pissed them off.

I have more than 30,000 travel photos on my website, as well as my videos, for your viewing pleasure.
