This morning, I went to my bank and while I was in line a guy in a mask comes running in waving a gun. He tells us “Hit the floor!”, so we all laid down on our stomachs.
He goes up to the teller and tells her that if she doesn’t give him money that he’s going to shoot one of the customers in the lobby.
This made us all nervous. The lady next to me started crying. I told her to calm down and that we would be alright.
The robber was yelling for the teller to hurry up. He then fired his gun into the ceiling. This scared the shit out of everybody, including me.
The robber got so impatient that he grabbed a lady from the floor and made her stand up next to him. He pointed his gun to her head and began screaming at the teller, who was nervous as hell. “If you don’t hurry up, I’m gonna blow her brains out!!!”.
The lady next to me started praying, loudly, as she was still crying.
I looked around to see what everybody else was doing.
Then I saw him.
An older man had his hand in his jacket and was pulling out his pistol. I motioned and got his attention. When he looked over at me, I motioned for him to put his gun away.
If this old man fired and missed, that robber might just start shooting all of us.
The old man ignored me and kept taking his gun out. The robber threw the lady to the ground and began taking the bag of money from the teller.
Just then, the old man stood up and yelled, “Freeze! Scumbag!!!”. I knew that shit was about to hit the fan.
The robber turned and saw the old man with his gun pointed at him. The robber began shooting, and so did the old man. Everybody cowered and covered their heads.
After about three or four shots, the old man lay dead and the robber’s arm was bleeding. Just then, two police cars pulled up with their lights flashing and sirens blaring.
The robber reached down and grabbed the lady again and made her stand in front of him. He put his arm around her neck and was dragging her away from the glass doors.
I knew the police were not just going to let him go, just to get him out of the bank with all of these hostages. And since the robber had already killed the old man, I knew that he wasn’t concerned about killing someone else.
I knew that I had to do something.
As the robber came by me, dragging the lady, he was waving the gun around and yelling.
Just then, I jumped up and grabbed his arm with the gun, as he held it out waving it around. He fired the pistol, but I had his hand aimed up towards the ceiling.
He let go of the lady and jumped on me, trying to get his hand free of my grip. I flipped him and we both landed on the floor, hard. I could tell that I had knocked the wind out of him, but he kept a death grip on his pistol.
He fired again and the bullet went through the glass doors of the bank. I rolled over and swung my elbow around and hit him square in the face.
I heard him make a noise like I had broken his nose.
Just then, the lady who was crying and praying ran over and began struggling with the gun in his hand and helping me get it out. His grip was loosening and I could feel the gun coming free.
Just as we almost had it out of his hand, he fired again and hit the lady in the leg. She screamed, but never let go of her grip on the gun.
A second later, the gun came free and she was able to grab it, as I rolled over and put him in a strangle hold. The other hostages had gotten up and ran out of the bank while we were wrestling with the gun.
They must have told the cops outside what was happening, because they came running in to grab the robber and hand cuff him.
Later, the lady was being taken away by a stretcher, headed to an ambulance. I had to stay to give my statement to the police.
I just got home and found out it was “Big Whopper Liar Day”, so I made up this story to entertain you. Lmao!
Go tell a Big Whopper of a Lie today to celebrate.
And have fun with it.
I did, lol.
