In my quest to revisit many of Houston’s attractions, my sister and I went to the aquarium in downtown Houston. Here are the prices for the different attractions they offer.

They have a great photo-op fountain by the entrance, with downtown in the background.

They offer several attractions or you can purchase a pass that lets you do everything.

I just missed the alligator yawning with its’ mouth wide open.

The aquariums are nice and some are pretty big, which makes the fish watching all the better.

There was a sign by the octopus that said ‘No Flash Photography’.

A study found that watching fish can have health benefits because it is so relaxing.

This fish was huge.

As were these two catfish.

It is rare to catch a big snake actually moving while in captivity. I’m sure feeding time is interesting.

Here’s another big aquarium. I wonder how fun it would be to Scuba Dive in there with the fish.

This was one of the cooler tanks.

Their white tiger is a rare sight to see. I was at the aquarium once before when a guy would turn his back to the tiger. The tiger would then approach and jump up on the glass as if he wanted to attack the guy. Tigers attack from behind.

So much so, that indigenous peoples will wear a mask on the back of their heads while out walking or working. They hope the tiger sees a face in the front and the back and won’t attack.

I’m not the first to do this.

The store had lots of merchandise to choose from.

After a kid walks through the aquarium and then they get something from the store, their day is complete and it’s a lifetime memory.

That’s it for my trip to the Houston Aquarium. I may go back this summer to participate in all of their attractions, like the train ride and the Ferris Wheel.
