I have a trip planned for this Xmas / New Year’s in Amsterdam with two friends. I have my Hotel & Flight already booked.
This Coronavirsu stuff may put a kink in everything, but we’ll see. I’m going ahead with preparations anyway, just in case everything clears up a bit by the end of the year.
Recently, I applied for my Passport and Passport Card. Now you can just go to the Post Office and handle everything.
You go online to the USPS site and put in your Zip Code to find the nearest Post Office to you. Then you schedule an appointment for a 15 minute window to handle your business.
You’ll bring your original Birth Certificate, License and Passport Application to your appointment.
The Post Office personnel will take your paperwork and snap a photo of you for your file. You get a copy of the photo.
They don’t allow you to smile or wear glasses in your photo. It looks like a Mugshot photo, lol.
Here are my three Passport Holders.
I prefer this one. I love the debossed logo of the United States.
It has a slot for my Passport Card and Business Cards.
In the back, are slots for Credit Cards, etc.
And the bonus is that it opens like a wallet for your dollars and Euros, etc.
I’ve got my winter, all weather boots ready and waiting.
Here’s a few items I travel with. Passport, journals and I.D.’s.
I haven’t been to Amsterdam since about 2012 and I’m jonesing.
I can’t wait to get back to Amsterdam and the Red Light District’s coffee shops. I do some of my best writing there.
I have a few more things to purchase before this December, but I’m going to go casually until I see what this Coronavirus is going to do.
Until next time, be safe and have a chill day.
