I wrote the first Dinner in Heaven fantasy list about all of the interesting, beautiful ladies I’d like to have dinner with if I get into Heaven and if they would accept the offer.
Now I’m writing part 2, which is all of the dudes I’d like to hang out with while upstairs for Eternity.
Many people have their own thoughts about what Heaven is like and I’m no different. I think we’ll be able to enjoy life and live to the fullest.
As long as you keep God and Jesus numbers 1 and 2 then I think we’ll be able to enjoy a lot of Earthly pleasures.
Having dinner with friends is one of those things.
Another is going to one, of many, nightclubs they have upstairs. What? You don’t think there’s any nightclubs upstairs?
I guess you think Elvis isn’t going to give any concerts too. Or sports stars won’t play their sports anymore?
I think Heaven can be everything and anything we want. As long as you follow the rules, that is.
Anyway, back to my fantasy dinner list.
What follows is a list of men that I’d like to have dinner with, then go to the nightclubs for drinks and meet the ladies. Now don’t tell me you think there’ll be no sex in Heaven. It’s ridiculous to think there wouldn’t be.
The list is not in any first to last order, but it does follow a certain chronology at times based on age. Not always but sometimes.
I think there will be quite a few dudes you’d like to hang with and meet the ladies with also.
In the first dinner guest article, I mention everybody being 25 years old in Heaven forever.
If you say we’re gonna be the age we die for Eternity, then you have no idea what’s going on.
Do you think God would make us all live out Eternity as an 80 year old decrepit?
Upon arrival in Heaven, I think we are transformed to that younger age… and then the fun begins. It’s at this time that God heals the handicapped, gives sight to the blind and so on…
So without further ado, here is my list of favorite dudes to party with in Heaven.
Clark Gable was one of the most popular movie stars of his day in Hollywood. Hanging out with him while he tells me what Hollywood was like back then would be great. Maybe he’ll tell me about all of the women he dated.
Humphrey Bogart stars in a movie called The African Queen with Katherine Hepburn. It’s a great movie. He’s also in a very famous film called Casablanca. I’d like to discuss those two films with him over dinner and drinks.
Burt Lancaster was a great actor and I used to watch his movies all of the time. Chatting about his life would be very interesting.
Jimmy Stewart is in a lot of movies I like. It’s a Wonderful Life is one of my favorites and I watch it several times each year during the holidays. I’d enjoy listening to his tales of Hollywood and being an actor.
I really loved watching Kirk Douglas movies as a child. There was a Crooked Man is just great. I have a dimpled chin like him. Maybe that’s why I like him so much, lol.
Gregory Peck stars in a movie To Kill a Mockingbird as Atticus Finch. It’s a great movie, as are all of Gregory Peck’s films. I’d like to converse with him about his films and work.
Cary Grant is another actor I like. He could be debonair and also funny. Having dinner and drinks with him would be exciting and going to a nightclub with him would be an experience. And he’s got a dimpled chin like me.
Charlton Heston is in a lot of epic movies. I remember watching The Ten Commandments where he played Moses and also when he was Ben Hur. He’s on the list because of those two movies alone.
Steve McQueen was in one of my favorite movies of all time – The Great Escape. In the movie, he escapes and steals a German motorcycle. It’s one of the better parts of the movie.
I think Dean Martin is a special kind of cool. He’s the only one from the Rat Pack that I’d care to meet and hang out with. Talking about early Hollywood and Vegas would be engaging to say the least.
James Garner is one of my favorite actors. I like his films and when he played Rockford on TV. He was in The Great Escape also. I’d want to discuss that movie while eating and drinking with him.
Charles Bronson was a Hollywood tough guy. He was macho in all of his roles and he played them well. He was in The Great Escape as well. Talking about that movie would never get old.
Robert Mitchum is one cool customer. I like his movies and would enjoy talking about his life and work. And he’s got a dimpled chin too, lol.
Johnny Weissmuller makes the list because of his most famous role in the movies.
He was Tarzan. When I was a kid and a Tarzan movie came on, I was over the moon happy.
I’d laugh a lot if I went out with Walter Matthau.
Sean Connery makes the list because he was the best James Bond 007 ever.
The Andy Griffith Show was a favorite of mine growing up. Andy had a long career. I’d like to hear about it.
Who doesn’t love Barney Fife? He made that show very funny. I still watch the reruns and laugh.
Blazing Saddles is one of my favorite Mel Brooks movies. I think he’s funny and very entertaining. Dinner with Mel would be fun.
Marlon Brando has been called the greatest actor of all time. Talking to him about his career would be very enlightening.
Robert De Niro is another of my favorite actors. All of his movies are great. He’s another guy that makes the list for being so cool.
Al Pacino is viewed as one of the greatest actors. His movies are great. I love The Godfather. I bet Al would be interesting to talk with over dinner and drinks.
Growing up, I loved it when a Clint Eastwood western movie came on TV. I really love his westerns and the Dirty Harry character too. I bet Clint has some great stories to tell about his life.
John Wayne is everybody’s western hero. He’ll be younger in Heaven than in this picture, but most remember him like this. Discussing his life in the movies would be fun.
Jack Nicholson has led a colorful life and made some great movies. I bet dining and drinking with him would get pretty wild. Jack made the list because he’s so cool.
The first time I saw a Bruce Lee movie, I was hooked and a big fan. Bruce can be a very deep individual. The dinner conversation with him would be intense, I bet.
Robert Redford was a heart throb for a lot a women for many years and he’s had a long, successful career. It would be interesting to talk to him about his life and all the women he’s dated over the years.
Who wouldn’t want to have dinner with Harrison Ford and talk about his movies?
And besides, he’s Han Solo. He definitely makes my list.
As I said in my post about dinner with those ladies, there’s probably some kind of Jail in Heaven for when you get too rowdy.
If I went to dinner and the bars with Bill Murray, I know we would get arrested, lol.
But I bet Bill could talk our way out of it.
John Belushi is another funny man I’d go to jail with for partying too hard in Heaven.
The movie Animal House has been voted the funniest movie of all time, several times. He’s awesome and very entertaining. Dinner with Belushi would be a blast.
George Lucas is the first of a few Directors on my list. I’d love to spend the entire dinner talking about Star Wars.
Martin Scorcese is one of the best Directors ever. Discussing his Films would be a pleasure.
Steven Spielberg made my list because of several Blockbuster films he directed. My favorites are the Indiana Jones series of films, Jurassic Park, Saving Private Ryan and many more… including Jaws. I bet he’s got some great stories about being a filmmaker in Hollywood.
I think Arnold would like to look like this in Heaven forever. I’d like to discuss fitness with him.
Sylvester Stallone is Rocky and that alone gets him on the list… plus being Rambo. I think dinner and drinking with Stallone would be great.
Tom Hanks is another favorite actor of mine. My favorite movies of his are Forrest Gump and Saving Private Ryan. I’d like to discuss his rise to the top of Hollywood and winning two Oscars.
Elvis is my 2nd choice to dine and drink with.
Just imagine an Elvis that looks like this for Eternity and there’s concerts every so often.
The ladies would go nuts.
From Hollywood men, my number one person to dine and drink with in Heaven is Paul Newman.
He was one handsome devil and I love his movies.
He was heavy into auto racing and I worked in racing for a decade.
I actually saw him in Indianapolis for the Indy 500. It was in the same hotel I was staying at.
I would have loved to talk to him, but he was talking with his group and Paul Newman is not a legend that you walk up and interrupt… much less ask for an autograph when he’s busy.
I’m sure he could tell some tales.
I hope you’ve enjoyed looking at some of the people I’d like to have dinner with in Heaven. I’m sure some are on your list too.
And this isn’t the entire list. This is just Hollywood. There’s a lot of sports stars and other worldly figures that I’d like to add, so I’ll probably write another Blog article about them.
I’ll do that later, so check back for it.
I wonder who your number one is?
