I usually post a story about an event I covered or maybe a poem.
Today, I’d like to show you a little about my life.
One of the things I wanted to do this year was get better organized and get rid of the clutter.
The last two nights I’ve been cleaning out every storage area and filing cabinet I have.
Here is what was cluttering my life. Amazing, huh?
It’s personal papers, work papers, project papers and junk mail from last year.
Here’s what it looks like in my Condo today.
It’s so hot to throw paper in that I had to put on a long sleeve shirt to cover my arm from the heat and wear a glove.
I’ve got my patio door wide open because it’s so hot and it’s 45 degrees outside. I don’t even feel the cold with this blaze going.
Now here is what it looks like when I have to quit for the day because there are too many ashes to safely continue burning.
I’ll have to wait until tomorrow before I can burn again because I’ve got to let these ashes burn out so I can scrape them out and prepare for Round 2.
I guesstimate that I did about 25% today, so that means it will be a 4 day job.
I already feel better.
Here’s what I got it down to. Everything I need is in this one file cabinet drawer and now I know right where it is.
And for my important papers and files, I keep them hidden inside a fireproof safe. I think everyone should have one.
I hope you are having luck with your resolutions too. Procrastination sucks the life out of you, so you might as well do or start your resolutions.
Good Luck with yours.
